Shake The World - August Alsina

I heard I was cancelled (Hmm)

Well, let's speak on that

Red dot on my back, I became a target

And I'm flawed but flawless, that's what makes me August

Name hotter than a eight-month summer in Charlotte

And I'm great, no debate, no room for bargain

Really walk it like I talk it, y'all just be barkin'

Now if my shorty really ballin', I nickname her Spalding

This shit sound like crack, don't it?

This shit sound like I'm back for it

And that shit had a nigga paranoid

Industry tried to exile the boy

Mama said we all gotta bear our cross

I had to realize I'm cut from Jesus' cloth

My brother Sean told me, "Just give it time"

And your bitch be tellin' me I'm so damn fine

And it's true

Yeah, it's true, yeah

'Cause I'm nothin' like you

You, oh, you

I started my label named "Shake The World" (Then the world shook)

'Cause, goddamn it, that's right, I shake the world

I heard it's some shit that's bound to go down when you got a billion dollars on the elevator

Well, of course some shit was bound to go down when you tangled up with the world's favorite

(Movin' on)

Ooh, ah-ooh

(Now that I'm out of this Matrix, let's say a prayer for all my haters)

Earth below me, sky above me

Fill the dark of night with light

So that the morning sun reveals all snakes and enemies that's hiding

Make their terrors, make Paul Bearers

Of their friends and families

Mark their stones and homes with "R.I.P"s

And make them all deep-buried bodies

Words just cast a spell over your body

And you ain't even know

I put a spell on you

And you and you and all your ancestors, too

Yeah, goddamn it

I put a spell on you

And you and you and all your ancestors, too
