Rise - Cornelia Jakobs

Hit me without a warning

I fell out in the blink of an eye

All the bridges were burning

Didn't know how to get back over to the bright side

Yeah, I lost, I got lost in the mighty darkness

And it feels like ages

But now I can see a sun about to rise

Waking up a spark inside

Suddenly it seems so easy

I'm slowly getting closer to the lights

Became a lover to the night

But darling, know you gotta release me

Didn't stop at the red lights

Never learned how to slow down the speed

In a battle against the time

I've been giving my best to everybody but me

Yeah, I ran like a freak, like I'd fucking lost it

Until I really lost it

But now I can see a sun about to rise

Waking up a spark inside

Suddenly it seems so easy

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

Became a lover to the night

But darling, know you gotta release

You gotta release me

Always been standing steady on my feet

It really scared me, I could fall so deep

Didn't notice that I was going down

'Til I woke up with my face flat to the ground

I've forgotten what it's like to see

Just how beautiful the world can be

Oh, it's finally time to set me free

'Cause I can see a sun about to rise

Waking up a spark inside

Suddenly it seems so easy

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

Became a lover to the night

But darling, know you gotta release

You gotta release, you gotta release me

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

I'm slowly getting closer, oh, you gotta release me

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

I'm slowly getting closer, oh, you gotta release me

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

I'm slowly getting closer to the light

I'm slowly getting closer to the light
