Losing Battles - Bryson Gray

"You know what happens, when you compromise and then finally get an opportunity to preach the gospel, having compromised and sinned against God? You know what, if you preach the gospel, even if you compromise and you get an opportunity to eventually preach the gospel, some are going to mock you, some will hear you further, and some will believe. You know what happens when you don't compromise and God opens an opportunity for you to preach the gospel? Some will mock you, some will listen to you further, and some will believe. So why bother compromising in the first place?"

Sometimes it feel like we fighting a losing battle

You go against the narrative then all they do is trash you

They try to ruin your career, that's what they use to trap you

They throwing dirt on your name when they used to dap you

I thought it was liberal but conservatives are the same

Willing to compromise they're faith for political games

Which I didn't see at first 'cause "Christian" is what they claim

But I started seeing the truth as soon as I rose to fame

Such a shame

Make sure to put Christ in every song

So they know I've been putting God first all along

I even made a song God first, can't say I'm wrong

'Cause I'm the bad guy 'cause I'm not just going to get along

But I told y'all from the beginning, I will never turn on my faith in the name of winning

But y'all in love with sinning

I get it, conservative say they gotta unfollow 'cause I called out Trump for hosting gay parties at Mar A-Lago

It doesn't surprise me, I'm on the narrow path so I know

That's why I keep the Bible with me everywhere I go

I told Vice News the same thing back in Chicago

Liberals been trying to cancel me from the start but I don't stop though

I'm the most hated, underrated

But the real ones still gon' play it

I serve the greatest

They're scared to say it, I'm gon' say it, how long you waited?

That fake rap ain't gon' make it 'cause we gon' take it

Christian rappers, they don't like me

They mad 'cause I voted for Trump

And I call out thee lukewarm Christians for pulling stunts

Claim to make music for Christ, that's cool, say what you want

But I haven't heard a scripture in none of they're song once

Scamming people using rhythms

How you read Matthew 24 and not offend them

Okay I guess I'm tripping

It's not a real church if it's being lead by women

If you got a gay pastor then it's a demonic system

If they never repent then how can God forgive them?

The scripture answer all of your questions but you don't listen

You'd rather scream out "don't judge" and play the victim

You talk love but all of the wrath you forget to mention

But let me guess, y'all main focus is scholarly theology

One is trinity and all of the above

You think that's gon' get you God's love as you disobey his word but you still looking above?

But didn't he say "I never knew you workers of iniquity" or lawlessness if get the Greek

But you tell people they can still sin

Remember these scriptures say you a friend of God or an enemy, pick one

And if you don't got a Bible you better get one

Study thyself approved 'cause all tasks is a big one

In and out of season now the Devil be like kick drums while we serving hit songs, Yeshua

Sometimes it feel like we fighting a losing battle

You go against the narrative then all they do is trash you

They try to ruin your career, that's what they use to trap you

They throwing dirt on your name when they used to dap you
