Letter to the Church - Bryson Gray

Ayy, this the truth, I know it hurt

Ayy, this the truth

Ayy, this my letter to the church

Ayy, this my letter to the church

Matthew 16:27, gon' be judged by your works

You gon' be judged by your works

Yeah, they say I'm too legalistic

John 14:15, I know they try to twist it

If you love Christ, you keep the log, don't forget it

You only get one shot so you better not miss it

They say "God loves everyone", the church lie

Malachi 1:3 and Psalm 5:5

You say you want the truth, there it is, now decide

And both verses are context, let go of that pride

These churches been lyin' to you for a long time

While you make 'em rich, yeah, it's a gold mine

But wait for it, He comin', yeah, He always on time

Eternal life is narrow, it won't be a long line

Not one [?] passin' a lot to heaven, the earth pass

Now read Revelation and tell me if it has

You only preachin' grace so you can make some cash

Leadin' people to hell, they gon' say I'm bein' brash

This my letter to the church

Yeah, this my letter to the church

Matthew 16:27, gon' be judged by your works

You gon' be judged by your works

Ayy, I'm tryna follow Jesus, they want me to follow man

I guess bein' hated by the world is God's plan

There were people that claimed to be Christian that I thought were friends

But they sayin' I'm followin' a law, I guess I am, they mad

'Cause I'm tryna keep the Sabbath the way Yeshua did

I'm sorry, I'm tryna live the way that Yeshua lived

Wait a minute, I keep commandments so you tellin' me

That actually followin' Scripture is heresy?

Do you follow man or follow God? Let's test the spirit

I want facts, I don't want emotion, don't wanna hear it

Goin' to church on Sunday didn't even come from the Son

Constantine called it the venerable Day of the Sun

It was March 7th, and the year was 321

Look it up, 'cause there's more, and I'm not even done

They sayin' man gave you Easter, 325 A.D

It's the facts, but they hate me

This my letter to the church

Ayy, this my letter to the church

Matthew 16:27, gon' be judged by your works

You gon' be judged by your works
