If We Were A Party - Alexander 23

If we were a party, then you were the music

And I was the drugs on the table that you did

It was body to body, so loud, it was stupid

But through all the madness, all I saw was you and me

(Actin' like we were seventeen)

If we were a party, the best party ever

We were drunk and in love, thought that it'd last forever

'Til the cops shut it down (Oh)

Turned all the lights out and kicked everyone out (Oh)

The neighbors are sorry, their plants are all ruined

I'm glued to my bed and I barely feel human

'Cause we were Bacardi, it's good while you're usin'

But start to regret it when you're halfway through it (No)

(We didn't make it past 3)

If we were a party, the best party ever

We were drunk and in love, thought that it'd last forever

'Til the cops shut it down (Oh)

Turned all the lights out and kicked everyone out (Oh)

Why can't why we cry because it's over

And still smile 'cause it happened?

I can't love you for forever

But I loved you on my mattress

Now I'm violently hungover

And my house is full of trash

Yeah, it didn't last forever

But, goddamn, it was a blast

If we were a party, the best party ever

We were drunk and in love, thought that it'd last forever

'Til the cops shut it down (Oh)

Turned all the lights out and kicked everyone out (Oh)

If we were a party, the best party ever

So much smoke in my lungs, told me we'd die together

Then I got real freaked out (Oh)

I'm simply too turned up to go settle down (Oh)

(Open up)
