Better - Fulton Lee

I don't usually have the money
To go out to dinner
I'm not really a winner
But I give it my all
I'm tryna get better
Does the fork go on the left or the right
I'm forgetful
I'm too stuck in my head no
But I know something great
Is what I am meant for

And I hope that you see in me
The man I'm gonna be
(Yeah, yeah)
I hope that you see in me
What I have growing
(Yeah)

I want to be better
I wanna be better
I wanna give all that I got
Gotta be standing up tall
Under this pressure
All this pressure
I swear I swear I swear
I'm sick of the way I'm wasting my time
I put that life in the grave baby
Won't be afraid of chasing the light
And I will not ever let go of sayin'
I want to be better
I got to be better
I gotta be better for you

When I leave my mind alone
It runs in cycles
And I start to spiral
Fighting for my life, fighting for survival
And I can see how if I chose to be free
I could reach it
It'd take all of my spirit
Like I'm trying to wake up
While I'm sleeping

And all around me I can see
The ones that need me
(Yeah, yeah)
I want to give everything
In my body
(Yeah)

I want to be better
I wanna be better
I wanna give all that I got
Gotta be standing up tall
Under this pressure
All this pressure
I swear I swear I swear
I'm sick of the way I'm wasting my time
I put that life in the grave baby
Won't be afraid of chasing the light
And I will not ever let go of sayin'
I want to be better
I got to be better
I gotta be better for you
